Synopsis (via Goodreads):

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

Here's the thing about Anna, I felt that while she was hilarious and pretty and funny, she lacked self confidence and was, for lack of a better word, a little bit pathetic......:-/ But mind you there was a lot of self discovery and maturity to be gained for both Anna and Étienne during the book.......
Anna made some really stupid mistakes, but so did Étienne, they're both flawed, but they're also good for each other, and sooo swoonworthyyy!! ;PP I can see why you claimed him little C! ;D

I felt that the drama between the group (aka St Clair, Josh, Rashmi, Meredith, Anna) in relation to all things Ellie was a little overdramatised. And also the tension between Meredith and Anna because of St Clair got on my nerves. I felt like it wasn't needed. I mean, Anna basically just cast Meredith's feelings aside after the initial observation that Mer had a crush on Étienne because there was no mention of Anna's thoughts on Mer's feelings (except that it was unfounded because Anna was in self-denial that there was anything between her and St Clair), only that Anna knew Mer was upset and jealous, but she did ABSOLUTELY nothing about it. She didn't try to address the problem at all.......:/ But after everything blows over I'm soooo glad that Mer and Anna are still awesome friends!! :DDD

And about Toph and Anna, and Étienne and Ellie. Urrghhhh. It was like Anna and Étienne were cheating (even tho they hadn't kissed till the end-parts they were still intimate) because they just wouldn't take the leap and break from their current relationships (plus all the misunderstandings), aka one a distance nearly boyfriend (Toph, who ended up going off with Bridge, who I'm still not happy with *glares*), the other a b**chy (seriously St Clair, I don't know why you were still with Ellie regardless of Anna!! >:O) 'I'm playing at being French' stuck-up girl who just decided to ditch all her friends......except, of course, the hot one who happened to be her boyfriend *sneers*. Étienne especially kept dragging Anna along, and then he got all sour whenever Anna mentioned Toph. Seriously? o.O Ohh, and Anna's wallowing about how St Clair kept running off to Ellie every night or whatever was SOOOO irritating..........*frowns* Plus the nonsense with Dave. Urrghhh. No, just no. *wrinkles nose in disgust*

BUT MAHH GODD DID I LUVVV THE GOOD PARTS!!!!!!!!!!! And dis book is a complete love story, no sex involved, which was nice and sweet (it wasn't innocent, but it felt more pure, somehow <3) AND DA ENDINGGG!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS BOOK BECAUSE EVEN THO THERE WAS SOOOO MUCH DRAMA THROUGHOUT THE BOOK, THE ENDING IS A SWEET HAPPY RESOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!! <333333

“I’m surprised by how much I’ll miss France. Atlanta was home for almost eighteen years, and though I’ve only known Paris for the last nine months, it’s changed me. I have a new city to learn next year, but I’m not scared.
Because I was right. For the two of us, home isn’t a place. It’s a person.
And we’re finally home.”

Awwww........*starry eyed*

RANDOMANIA: Oliphant!! LOTR reference!!!! :DDDD

Conclusion: It was a bit overdramatised......ookayy, a lot, but the good parts and the ending are edible!!!! *swoons* ;DD
4 stars! <3
