Issue #2. Makes it sounds like some kind of newpaper XD Oh and I Luurrrrvvee the banner, Bellzie!! Looks awesome *thumbs up* I dunno how to do those kind of things *pouts*

Anyhooo, quite a few things have happened this weekk!

  • We have a Twitter account now! Ta daaa *flourishes arm*:  FM's Twitter :D It was supposed to be @Fangirlingmisses, but twitter apparently thinks its too long, so it's now fangirlingmisse, without the "S", which makes no sense at all, whatsoever. Rahh. And Twitter's character limit is so short, it's really hard to actually write anything useful XD
  • HEIR OF FIRE'S NEW COVER!!!! It got released a few days ago, remembah?? I shall show it to those who haven't seen it yet on their official FB page- *pauses dramatically*....*crowd waits*....*smirks* Wait till the end of the post. *cracks up* LETS TORTURE OUR READERS XDD *crowd throws tomatoes* ...okay okay..geez so violent.

The lovely green one on the left hand side is the US cover version, and the left is the UK's. Which do you prefer? I kind of like the UK's betterr.. the ice green/blue colour in the background is soooo pwetty. and LOOK she has a BOW!! :D CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT *pulls hair* GIMME. NOW. *jumps around with Belle* AHHH!!!!! :DDD *dies*

  • I'm currently rereading the Darkest Minds because it's so awesome, and if you haven't read it....*puts knife to throat* READ. IT. NOW. *smiles sweetly* I personally (and lot of you should be agreeing with this statement...*shoots a look around threateningly*) think it's THE best dystopian book ever written. And I've read a lot of dystopian books. It's fresh, new, suspenseful, and the romance is slow and real unlike mostt..*cough* Not naming names XD Just remember, MY LIAM. Or i'll hunt you down in your sleep.
  • If you haven't seen the other 5 Misses around, it's because they're slacking. Chop chop, dearies XD
  • I think that's pretty much it....I should keep notes of interesting things next time o.O Can't remember anything. Maybe you can add sumfin, Bellzie or Mazza xD

Allegiant (Divergent #3) - Veronica Roth

Hey all! Its Cassafrass here *waves* So I never actually posted a review on the blog yet, so I thought I should get around to it! Now I dont really know how to do that fancy HTML stuff Belle does... So Im going with good old Copy/Paste. XD If you want to read my review including spoilers (It looks a bit empty without them..) , check out Allegiant Review . Thanks for bearingg!! *sheepish grin* Ill learn all this tech stuff soon enough!

This is the much dreaded ending.
First of all, I want to say that I didn't cry, MUCH to my surprise.. but before going in depth on the ending, I would like to talk about the rest of the book.

*clears throat*

The disappointments of Allegiant. Here we go: (Dont worry, there aren't that many ;)

1. Allegiant, unlike the rest of the series, has dual PoVs - but they had the same voices! Maybe it's because it's Roth's first time writing dual PoVs, I dunno, but I couldn't tell them apart. This kinda ruined the book for me a bit... since I had to flip back every once in a while to check to was speaking. (I got them mixed up SO many times..e.g Me: This is Tobias, isn't it? Why is he looking at hi- ahhh. Tris. *shakes head* YOU FOOLED ME AGAIN, YA LITLE TWEAK XD)

2. Four/Tris' relationship lacked a bit here in my opinion. I can't really phrase how to say it, but it seemed to me that whenever she was with Four (I love calling him Four) was either trying to get his shirt off, or they weren't talking because disagreements/fights.

3. Triss...wasn't the same Tris I knew and loved Divergent. I mean yeah she was tougher and all that jazz, but she became a little too cocky after all those experiences, and that was a little sad for me to read. Plus the whole general storyline got so draggy and boring a few times in the middle, and I really wanted to put it down :-/

*counts off fingers* I think that's it.... I really cant talk about the ending without giving anything away, but ov
erall, although I think it isn't the best book ever, the ending was phenomenal and definitely the best wrap up written for the series. (Not that I appreciate it. I've got my eye on you for the future, Roth. *narrows eyes* :P) Good job, though. I mean it.

Ohh btw, has everyone seen the film or is it just me that needs to watch it XD
And personally, I think making Allegiant into two films is unneeded.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

The Fault in Our Stars
Source of pic: Wikipedia.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Current Rating on Goodreads: 4.49 of 5 stars
Pages: 318
Synopsis (via Goodreads):

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

Hmm. So I'm not really sure how I feel about this book exactly. I mean, don't get me wrong, I liked it, but there's just.......idk, just let me write this all down:
Ookayy, firstly, if you're expecting a cancer book where the pretty girl with cancer falls in love with this handsome dude and then her cancer is miraculously cured and they live happily ever after to the end of their cancer-free days........Do. Not. Read. This. Book.......Seriously........This. Is. Not. A. Happily. Ever. After. I. Repeat. NOT. A. Happily. Ever. After. Book.
But this book DID have it's humor (quite a bit) and integrity. I loved Hazel and Augustus's wacky banter! :D *laughs* I seriously felt depressed at the end tho.......:'(

“May I see you again?" he asked. There was an endearing nervousness in his voice.
I smiled. "Sure."
"Tomorrow?" he asked.
"Patience, grasshopper," I counseled. "You don't want to seem overeager.
"Right, that's why I said tomorrow," he said. "I want to see you again tonight. But I'm willing to wait all night and much of tomorrow." I rolled my eyes. "I'm serious," he said.
"You don't even know me," I said. I grabbed the book from the center console. "How about I call you when I finish this?"
"But you don't even have my phone number," he said.
"I strongly suspect you wrote it in this book."
He broke out into that goofy smile. "And you say we don't know each other.”

― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars (Hazel and Augustus)

The book as a whole: It had an impressive array of emotions all packed in; happiness, contentment, hilariousness, sadness, anticipation (not the action kind tho), trepidation, distress, heart-breaking sadness (yes it is it's own emotion), quirkiness, confuzzlement, awesomesauceness............yeahhh!

“Gus: "It tastes like..."
Me: "Food."
Gus: "Yes, precisely. It tastes like food, excellently prepared. But it does not taste, how do I put this delicately...?"
Me: "It does not taste like God Himself cooked heaven into a series of five dishes which were then served to you accompanied by several luminous balls of fermented, bubbly plasma while actual and literal flower petals floated down around your canal-side dinner table."
Gus: "Nicely phrased."
Gus's father: "Our children are weird."
My dad: "Nicely phrased.”

― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

Now the writing: And here lies my problem. The writing was nicely structured and sophisticated, but there were all these riddling sentences and poetry that I felt were maybe imperative to the understanding of the story, and thus I felt like I wasn't seeing the whole thing, the whole picture. Sophistication is WONDERFUL but I felt that maybe the writing was maybe a little overdone and full of an overabundance of metaphors......which kinda wrung mah brain like a frilly dress shirt soaked with cold, dirty water. XP *pointed look* You get the idea. But heyy, that's just me.

The ending: It felt right, albeit short. (view spoiler)
Some of the story wasn't really my kind of thing (aka the depressing stuff), but I will state that it was well done.
Thus, 3.5 stars.

See yaa peeps! XD

And here is it's meme banner......made by moi, soooo. Hopefully it's not toooo bad heheeh XD *elegant flourish*

Whatcha think of da bannerrr? *expectant look*

Let us begin! Today is Random Update (Pre?)Wednesday, soooo let us do a recap on things of importance (generally bookish-lated) that have happened of recent daysss! Anything you wanna share can be posted in comments........since you rweallyy can't write it in the post XD That's my domain sozzzzzz *sticks out tongue*
Things of Importance (don't mind me if I forget's pretty, you guessed it, randdommmmm):

  • I watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier yesternight!! <3 It was friggin' awesomesauce! I tots recommend you peeps watch it! P.s. I know dis issa moviee.......but 'teeechnicallyyy' *smirks*, it's based off comic 'booksss', soooo I'm allowed to spam about it here. My orders. And duude, I gotta admit, the Capt'n is lookin' goooodd *waggles eyebrows* The graphics were rockin', as usual–Marvel never fails in that department XP My Muddled Thoughts At The End: Hydra you....aarrghhhh!! *shakes fists in face* What's gonna happen to da next Marvel movies nowww with Shield......? *head implodes* Anddd poooorr Barnsiesss and Capt'n :( I'm seriously feeling the injustice! >>:OO!!!!! And......Black Widow and da Captain.......did they just get friend-zoned? XD Of course it's Marvel tradition to add a little extra punch after the first line of credits, so yess I sat with absolutely everyone else in the cinema (since everyone knew there would be an extra scene) to watch the after-clip.......My Thoughts: *horrified look* OMG! :O Why won't Hydra just DIEEE alreadyyyy gaaaahhh! ........And then half of the cinema's occupants left. Now you might be thinking, why didn't everyone leave already? o.O But if you're movie savvvyy (like meeee XD ) the chances are (you're like me!! :P and) you already knew about the second–that's right–second, clip! My Thoughts: (1. Pooorr guyy! :/ That must be terrifyingly confuzzling, and (2. Whaaaa breaking Marvel tradition anyone?! o.O But yesss, as weird as it may be, there was indeed a second clip. Tho I feel the first after-clip was the usual linking-to-another-Marvel-movie-clip, while da second was more of an extra-slash-linking-to-Cpt-America-number-three-???-clip XD But yeaaahh, for anyone who luvvsss Marvel moviesss, this is a cool punch of awesomesauceee!! <33
  • We shall have our Liebster Award post up soon......thanks forevahhh Spiffy Books , it'll just take a while for us to organise who's answering what lol. Since there's a whole bunch of usss o.O
Rant's ended, show's over. XDD Now shoooo!

Lux: Beginnings (Obsidian & Onyx)  official Blurb:

There's an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he's hot...until he opens his mouth. He's infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he lights me up with a big fat bulls-eye. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.

Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro alien connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

What do you think of it? Objectively, I don't like it that much.....*sadface*, however I did like the cover for  LUX: Beginnings. Idk......I just don't like the face shot of the girl in this one......:/

Lux: Consequences (Opal & Origin) official blurb:

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing alien hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back. After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?
