9/11 Random Updates (Pre?)Wednesday Issue #10

Yessss I know it's "technically" a preTHURSDAY post but mehh *sticks tongue out* It's random.

Hmm not a lot happened over the week, I guess.. but here we go:

— The FM now has an INSTAGRAM account @fangirlingmisses . Obviously not much is posted.. but if you want to chat or give us some reading recommendations or whateverr, it's really easy to let us know :D Just comment on those picture thingys. Follow please? We'll follow back.

— We're getting nearer and nearer to the publication of IN THE AFTERLIGHT !!! Seriously, October 28th is way too farrrr!! And I seriously need to get my hands on that 2.5 novella *cries* Maybe i'll reread Never Fade while i'm waiting...

— Has anyone watched the IF I STAY or THE GIVER film yet? I'm really curious if they made If I Stay right o.O It's a bit of a hard book to make a film of, don't you think?
Hmm I haven't read the Giver though.. better get onto it.

— I'm going on a school trip to Mongooolia for a week from Monday.. so i'll be gone from the blogger and internet world *dramatic whisper* MISS ME. No juss kidding. No reading for a week though since it's suppose to be a "social" trip.. I miss my computer already *pats laptop* Maybe i'll bring back a picture of a camel. Do you like camels? :D Everyone loves camelssss

—If you're Amy Heugh, sorrrryyyy for the horrible lagging of reading your bookk :/ I'm drowning in homework and stuff... but i'll get that review posted by the weekend! I'm going to go on a reading splurge.

Sorry y'all for not posting for....like....aaagessss ;( I was going to, but then I got sick.......and I'm still slightly sick ^^ *disgruntled look* My body haaateess meeee! As you know (you should know *narrows eyes* xD) Throne of Glass is my favourite series in the whole universe! So I'm so excited that I'm going to get a physical copy of HoF! :D My hardcopy (I thiiink it's a hardcopy *cocks head* XP) of HoF is gonna arrive around the 18th Sep!

And yess, I know, this is totally sad, but this is actually my first time ever preordering a physical copy of a book ^^ *wipes tears from eyes* Aaaand it's like the 10th ever YA book that I physically own......agaiin, totally saaad and pathetic XDD I'm a terribleee excuse of a book lover *wails*

*coughs* Well then.......movingg ooonn :P Has anyone heard of Sparks Rise?! Well, if you're a Darkest Minds fan you might have ;) Tho only recently.......I actually only got wind of this TDM novella like last week on FB! *gaaasp* Bracken has been hiding it from usssss XD *tsk tsk*
It's the latest addition to the Darkest Minds world......aka a novella between Never Fade and In The Afterlight, much like In Time, which is a novella between The Darkest Minds and Never Fade!!
*squeals* So cool right? Sparks Rise is centred on Sam.....if you remember, Sam was Ruby's best friend in Thurmond (until the 'accident' of course....:/) Plus I've heard that there is also a sneak peek of In The Afterlight! Whooooooppp!!

• Just yesterday I went to what we call 'Orientation Day' at the college (as in year 11 and 12, not uni ^^ *rolls eyes at muuricannss*) that I'll be attending next year! Basically we try out 4 subject areas to help us decide what subjects to take next year. I ended up trying health studies, french, media production, and dance! It was soooo much fuunn ;) I met a bunch of cool peeps and everythang was great.....except at one point the other kids tried to get me to do a solo of the routine we'd just learnt in the dance class because apparently I was really good *shudders* The teacher saved me *sighs in relief* No solos for meee naahh uhh! *nods quickly*

• Ohh and for you crazy Lux fanatics.....like me *winks* yaaassssss I know you're out there!! :P, I'll be writing a post discussing (and ranting) about the teasers for Opposition that are being released as part of the official book tour! I can't believe the series is almost over :O *wails* DAEMON! KATY! DEE! ARCHER! DAWSON! THE LIST GOES ON! Soooooo....be on ze lookout for ze post ;)

7/16 Random Updates (Pre?)Wednesdays Issue #7

Heyyy y'all!! Been a while since we did a random update! ;D I've been extremely busy getting ready for my dance comps........talking of which:

• The comps are finally overrrrr!! *mimes popping of champagne lid* XD I'm in two groups at my dance school; the dance group with just peeps my age (we do three routines together: a jazz routine, a song and dance routine, and a neo-classical/contemporary), and the hiphop group (which is 48 strong including me)! *grins* Anyyhoooo, this was my first comps! So exciting! Unfortunately our neo routine got disqualified because of a mistake in the time length of the dance :( But we got HC aka 'highly commended' for the jazz and the s&d! :D The real highlight was the hiphop tho!!!! WE GOT 1ST PLACE!!!!!!!!! *FANS FACE AND SQUEALS ALL OVER AGAIN*

• The comps were sooooo fuunn but I'm glad it's over too XD *flexes sore muscles* Plus my sleeping patterns are wacked -___- (which is why I typed this at 3:30 in the morning *sigh*) And I'm royally sick of makeup at the moment o.O And fake eyelashes. Did you know that fake eyelashes get itchy when you have them glued to your skin for 48 hours? *sniffs* Ohhhh and I had a few...........complications during the comps XDD *scowls and zips lips*

• Rachel is back! *squeezes Rach tightly* Missed you while you were gone gurll!!! But she's finallyyy rejoined usssssss!! Dayuummm. *feels mildly jealous of all those overseas trips*......ookayyy. A lot jealous. XP

• Ohh yeaaahh! We got nominated a 6th and 7th time for the Liebster Award! :D Thank you fellow bloggers! *group hug* I kept forgetting who nominated us tho o.O XDD So I've now written it all down in the new 'Features and Awards' page! Yaaayyyy!! *winks*

• Cazz and I have revamped the blog's pages a bit.......you know, the tabs near the top of this blog? XD Yuuuppp that's it.......we've cleaned it up and also added feature info, review request policies etc. so check it out and tell us what you think!

• So we have finally joined Bloglovin', which meanss.........we are now officially bloglovers! *giggles and high fives fellow bloglovin' members* Yupp I knooowww :P We should have joined aagessss agoo *rolls eyes* But bettahh late than never! Phew! *wipes brow* I've been so busy lately with school stuff and dancing.....the dreaded comps are looming over me like angry dark clouds accosting vengeance! *shrinks back* Those evil spins and pirouettes *shudders* Haha back to the subject! *shakes head at wandering brain* Heyy you lot! So to give you an update of things latelyyy.......other than my dance life *winks*

• Psst. *conspiratorial whisper* XD I may be going to see TFiOS with a RLF aka real life friend in a couple days :P Maaaybbe. Not set in stone just yet. I don't wanna jinx it, but there's a heads up anyways 'cause I'm useless at hiding secrets lol! So anyhooo, if I do watch it, I'll be sure to tell y'all my thoughts yaahh? *nods* Righto. The book wasn't a fav per say, but I always love a good movie so *fingers crossed* :D
• I'm currently reading an ARC (well :P It was an ARC when I received it lol, tho I'm not sure it qualifies, since I'm meant to review it just as or just after it comes out.......which is today haha) of Cinderella's Dress, which is a new book published by Entangled Teen Pub. So fyi I should have it up soon! :) (partly because a certain person sharing my name is waiting patiently for me to get onto a BR aka buddy read! *guilty grin*) So keep a eye out. Or two.
• I heard some exciting news!! Squeeeeeee!!! All you folks familiar with Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series and it's spinoff, Bloodlines? If you have indeed read them, you'll know that she lovessss writing series with 6 books apiece xD And Bloodlines is no exception! Even tho Silver Shadows aka Bloodlines #5 isn't out yet, the name of the 6th and final book has already just been revealed! What an awesome Tweet to wake up to ;D

Whaat Belle...no fairr. I haven't even watched Divergent yet -_- Stupid theatres. I dunno if i'll like TFioS muchh thoughh...to be honest :P The book was really good, but in movie form, It has to be perrrfecto to not be too cheesy looking xD (Yes I did watch the trailer but I can't really tell. hehe)

Oh aaand sowwyyy I haven't been on much either ;( I don't have an exciting dance life (...and it's better that way...for everyone..) but schooooool *scowls* I mean, vacation in three weeks, people. WHYYY ARE YOU GIVING US A NEW PROJECT AT THE END OF TERM D: AND RIGHT AFTER EXAMS ENDED *facepalm* Anyhoo. But I DID manage to make it about J K. Rowling, so kudos to me ;) ...however, still stupid.

• I just finished This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith! :D New favourite. It's really really really gooooood. I must read the Geography of You and Me soon. If you dunno her, you should check it outtt! She also wrote the Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, which I reviewed a few weeks ago..I think..yeah.. See if ya want. So yesh. If you're out looking for nice contemp novels, you have to read this man. :D TiWHLL (#Lazynessss)'s review will be up..eventually :P I have like 3-4 I need to write, but most were 3 stars, and I really don't like writing 3 star reviews. I mean, It was just ehhh! Nothing spectacular, but not horrible either.. so theres not much to talk about. I may just skip reviewing *sticks out tongue* I love reviewing 5 star or 1 star books the best xD Gush or rant. Ta daaaa!

Anyways. I think that's it o.O I haven't had time to really look for interesting things :P Shame. It's quite fun... Better next week, right? :D

• I watched The Book Thief Movie Adaption!! I admit it wasn't quite as good as the book......okayy, nowhere near as good......XD They changed it quite a bit, I noticed, and at first Death's voice was a bit awkward, but after a while I kinda got used to it XD I was kinda disappointed that there was no apple thievin' in da movieeee tho *whines* :P The ending was pretty good! Even tho they didn't show Alex Steiner's grieving or anything o.O It just went.......2 YEARS LATER DUN DUNN DUUNNN!!!!!!!! XPP Ah wells.....we got to see Liesel and Max's reunion at da shop! :DD Yeeeyyyy!! *cheers happily*

Beellleeee I watched that two days ago! :D I watched half right after I finished the book but hated it at first.. I think it was too close. Book Thief book rubbed meh raww xD The film was actually really really good though, now that I watched the whole thing.....3 months later....hehe :P The ending could have been better, I think. and I wanted the apple scene and also Rudy's teddy and bread giving scene! :( Ah wells.

Luckily my exam results don't count for the final grade because I transferred reaaaaally late :P Can't cram 12 month's of work in 2 weeks nuh uh *shakes head vigorously*

• IT'S GETTING SOOO HOOOTTTT, AGREE? We had to turn on the A/C for the first time today!! (Not including you Aussies or other Southern Hemi people, of course XD) I opened my window and fell asleep yesterday, which was a really bad idea because NOW the pollution decides to strike up suddenly. Gee thanks. I slept through all the dust -_- Conclusion: I have a sore throat and a cold. Yayyyy. *sighs* but colds seem to be attackin everyoneee nowawdaysss..which doesn't make any sense because it's SUMMAH *pouts*

• My mum and I wanted to get a DVD copy of Frozen to keep in our personal collection, 'cause, you know, Frozen is AWESOMESAUCE!! Right???? But what happened then, you ask? Welll........I'll tell you! WE COULDN'T FIND A SINGLE COPY BECAUSE ALL THE STORES WE CHECKED IN TOWN WERE SOLD OUT!!! *EVERYONE GASPS* IKR?!?! So now we'll have to wait for the shops to re-stock till we can get our beloved Frozen and make my bro and dad watch it *snickers* Talk about popular Disney movies *shakes head in disbelief*
• I'm terrible. No really, I haven't finished a single book (not counting Watty books *winks at Tiaaaaa XD) all month! *sadface* I really must get onto reading all the books I wanna stick my head into........but what do I read first once I've finished The Book Thief? *sigh* Re-start The Fiery Heart and/or Alienated, or FINALLY read White Hot Kiss (seriously, I've been DYING to read this)? Any thoughts guys? lol here I am asking for help.....urghhh. *smacks forehead*

XD Yeahhh I gotsa agree that the Opposition cover isn't my favourite..but then again..no offense of courrse.. none of the Lux novel covers are really...great o.O I mean have you SEEN them? *giggles* Although this one seems to top the ugly cover list of the Lux series. Whats up with the design publishers.. that dude does NOT look like Daemon. At all. *throws hands up* He's not even wearing a shirt *facepalm* If that's meant for women to go "Oooh baby faced shirtless dudeee! Let's reaadd ittt!!" No. Plan failed.

• Alsoo... apparently the 20th Century Fox Television ordered a TV pilot of Delirium byyy..Lauren Oliver, I think? Yeahhh. I got the news from um.. it's comin to me...*racks brain* Okay pooh, I can't remember. I'll search my history and get back to ya XD Has anyone read it? I haven't, but it looks interesting enough. Although I tried reading Panic by Lauren Oliver, and i've been reading it for a month now.... *shrugs* Maybe Delirium will be better! Hopefully. 
• What elseee is new...*ponders* Oh. The One by Kiera Cass came out a few days ago! Personally, I didn't really like the series, so I didn't bother reading it and asked for spoilers. (I know who she pickss *cackles*) and loads of people have been crying over it, no idea why since I haven't read it, but also, loads of people have been tweeting about #TheOne, and I'm seeing #TheOne EVERYWHERE. Literally. XD And I've also seen #UnlockTheOne about a million times too (I'm lookin at you mostly, Rach XD) Such dedicated people *clutches head* Kiera Cass would be proud. Thoughts about the book? Without spoilers please? :D Loved it..hated it.. Tell meh.
• Don't know if this is remotely interesting to you, but my current favourite songs of the week are Livin on a Prayer by Bon Jovi and Piano Man by Billy Joel. I'm on a oldies craze ever since like twoo...weeks ago? Don't look at me like that! *whines* Oldies are actually really nicee!! I mostly listened to rock before, but now its oldies rock *waggles eyebrows* XD 
• My science teacher called me a ninja today. HIYAA. *giggles* Did you know my dream was to be a ninja ever since I was like...7? Thats why whenever my teachers told me to write my dream down, so they could use it in display or whatever, I was like .....ninja... Them: ... Anything else? Me: *stands there for literally more than 5 minutes trying to come up with a "realistic" one*...*teachers get impatient*...Why don't you be an author or nurse, sweetie? You would be good at those. Me: *nods* Author. XD I don't wanna be an author though, as strange as it might seem..being an avid reader and all. I dunno..I like READING. Writin ain't mah thing.

4/30 PreWednesday Issue#2 Random Updates Dayy!

Issue #2. Makes it sounds like some kind of newpaper XD Oh and I Luurrrrvvee the banner, Bellzie!! Looks awesome *thumbs up* I dunno how to do those kind of things *pouts*

Anyhooo, quite a few things have happened this weekk!

• We have a Twitter account now! Ta daaa *flourishes arm*:  FM's Twitter :D It was supposed to be @Fangirlingmisses, but twitter apparently thinks its too long, so it's now fangirlingmisse, without the "S", which makes no sense at all, whatsoever. Rahh. And Twitter's character limit is so short, it's really hard to actually write anything useful XD 

• HEIR OF FIRE'S NEW COVER!!!! It got released a few days ago, remembah?? I shall show it to those who haven't seen it yet on their official FB page- *pauses dramatically*....*crowd waits*....*smirks* Wait till the end of the post. *cracks up* LETS TORTURE OUR READERS XDD *crowd throws tomatoes* ...okay okay..geez so violent.   

The lovely green one on the left hand side is the US cover version, and the left is the UK's. Which do you prefer? I kind of like the UK's betterr.. the ice green/blue colour in the background is soooo pwetty. and LOOK she has a BOW!! :D CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT *pulls hair* GIMME. NOW. *jumps around with Belle* AHHH!!!!! :DDD *dies*

• I'm currently rereading the Darkest Minds because it's so awesome, and if you haven't read it....*puts knife to throat* READ. IT. NOW. *smiles sweetly* I personally (and lot of you should be agreeing with this statement...*shoots a look around threateningly*) think it's THE best dystopian book ever written. And I've read a lot of dystopian books. It's fresh, new, suspenseful, and the romance is slow and real unlike mostt..*cough* Not naming names XD Just remember, MY LIAM. Or i'll hunt you down in your sleep. 
• If you haven't seen the other 5 Misses around, it's because they're slacking. Chop chop, dearies XD 
• I think that's pretty much it....I should keep notes of interesting things next time o.O Can't remember anything. Maybe you can add sumfin, Bellzie or Mazza xD

I absolutely luuuvvvvv “of the Week” specialss! *FANGIRLS* I've gotten many a book, app and song free over the last year and a half aka how long I've had an Apple *winkss* E.g. some YA books: Grave Mercy, Angel, Touch of Power, The Immortal Rules, The Goddess Test etc. (and I still haven't read most of them! XD Talking about that, I really should read them! :D)
This lovely week I checked the “Book of the Week” (I believe they update every friday.....for us Aussies, at least), and guess what popped up?! *raises eyebrows* You guessed it!! Frozen Sing-A-Long-Storybook! XDD

But anyyhoooo the results aree: Lux Series, The Darkest Minds and The Infernal Devices are leading at 5 points apiece! Whooopp!! :D
Bloodlines and Divergent are tied for second on 4 points each ;D
Throne of Glass has 3 points and is sharing third place with itself..........p.s. howww dissaapointingggggg *insert Snape-like voice*..........this shows that we need to make more peeps read ToG!!! :P
Mara Dyer at 2 points.........well that's saaadd XD Mind you I've only read the very first book in the trilogy, but that first one was awesomesauceee.....:/ So idk....

• I watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier yesternight!! <3 It was friggin' awesomesauce! I tots recommend you peeps watch it! P.s. I know dis issa moviee.......but 'teeechnicallyyy' *smirks*, it's based off comic 'booksss', soooo I'm allowed to spam about it here. My orders. And duude, I gotta admit, the Capt'n is lookin' goooodd *waggles eyebrows* The graphics were rockin', as usual–Marvel never fails in that department XP My Muddled Thoughts At The End: Hydra you....aarrghhhh!! *shakes fists in face* What's gonna happen to da next Marvel movies nowww with Shield......? *head implodes* Anddd poooorr Barnsiesss and Capt'n :( I'm seriously feeling the injustice! >>:OO!!!!! And......Black Widow and da Captain.......did they just get friend-zoned? XD Of course it's Marvel tradition to add a little extra punch after the first line of credits, so yess I sat with absolutely everyone else in the cinema (since everyone knew there would be an extra scene) to watch the after-clip.......My Thoughts: *horrified look* OMG! :O Why won't Hydra just DIEEE alreadyyyy gaaaahhh! ........And then half of the cinema's occupants left. Now you might be thinking, why didn't everyone leave already? o.O But if you're movie savvvyy (like meeee XD ) the chances are (you're like me!! :P and) you already knew about the second–that's right–second, clip! My Thoughts: (1. Pooorr guyy! :/ That must be terrifyingly confuzzling, and (2. Whaaaa breaking Marvel tradition anyone?! o.O But yesss, as weird as it may be, there was indeed a second clip. Tho I feel the first after-clip was the usual linking-to-another-Marvel-movie-clip, while da second was more of an extra-slash-linking-to-Cpt-America-number-three-???-clip XD But yeaaahh, for anyone who luvvsss Marvel moviesss, this is a cool punch of awesomesauceee!! <33
