Yess yess yess! I'm reading (or should I say rereading.....because I succumbed to bad habit and skimmed.....just a tiny bit, and now I'm rereading from scratch *whacks self over the head*) Stone Cold Touch, the second instalment in the The Dark Elements by Jennifer L. Armentrout! Let's just say.....it did not disappoint ;) And my review should be up soon enough. Hopefully.
I'm easily distracted xD

Now where were we, ah yes. TT! I won an ebook of SCT, for which I feel especially lucky, considering my lack of accessibility to physical books (including the library at the moment), and no sign of SCT in the Aus iBooks store.

“He whipped the headphones right off Dean’s head. “Ignoring us is rude.”
The boy on the bed—the boy who’d always been quiet and had held doors open for other students—smirked as he folded his arms behind his head. “Do I look like I care?”
“Do I look like I won’t rip your head off your shoulders?” replied Roth.
“Whoa,” I said, shooting him a look. “That’s not helping.”
Dean looked over at me and sat up. He reached down between his legs and did something that made my ears burn. “You’re more than welcome to stay in here, honey. These two tools can hit the road, though.”
My mouth dropped open. “Okay. Commence with ripping the head off.”
Roth smirked.”

“And now he speaks Latin?” This was going nowhere fast. “What did he say?”
Roth chuckled. “Something that won’t make Stony happy.”

Yessss I am the dumbest dumbo for rereading the ToG series noww when HoF is already out in some stores (I'm late rereading Lux too.....which is probably why I still haven't read Opposition.....don't kill meeee *whines* XD), but since I have to wait a few weeks for Amazon to hurry up and ship my HoF copy, I do have an excuse for the slow start. Kinda. Not really. *frowns*
Anyway *coughs* I just started Assassin's Blade ;) Funny enough, this is actually the first time reading AB, since I originally read the novellas (minus The Assassin and The Healer) separately before the bind up was available....

Hey guys! *waves* Tia here with the Teaser Tuesday :D It's my first one so bare with me since I'm still learnin' the ropes ^^
My teaser is going to be from Alexandra Bracken's The Darkest Minds! I figured that since In the Afterlight is coming out soon, a reread is in order ;D This book is one of my favorites soo..hope ya'll enjoy the teasersss

"Sam," I said, hating the way my voice shook. She didn't stop or deign to look at me until we were by our bunks and she had one fist curled in the bedsheets, ready to pull herself up to the top bed. 

"Say something. Please," I begged.

"You stood there," Sam's voice was low and rough, like she hadn't used it for days. "You shouldn't have," her chin came down to rest against her chest. 

Messes of hair fell over her shoulders and cheeks, hiding her expression. I felt it then, the way that the hold I had on her had suddenly sprang free. I had the strangest sensation of floating, of drifting farther and farther away, with nothing and no one to cling to. I was standing right beside her, but the distance between us had split into the kind of canyon I couldn't jump across. 

AND

My foot slipped against the rock as I stepped away, my back scraping against the wall, my head sending me spiraling into panic. It was thrilling in anticipation, relishing how close he was. Maybe his anger had evaporated, but whatever he was feeling now was stronger than before. Stronger than pain, frustration, or fury. 

Get away from me and don't were struck in my tight chest. Wedged between terror and want. Liam's lips formed my name. But there was nothing outside of the blood rushing in my ears.

   "So Ezra," Phoebe said, sliding onto the bench next to Luke. "Hows life as a teenage vampire?" Toby snorted, and Cassidy snickered through a mouthful of cupcake. 
   "Oh come on," Phoebe continued. "You're asking for it. Pale skin, black clothes, no lunch, and that whole brooding thing? It's hilarious. You should get some body glitter and go after an unsuspecting freshman." 
   "You should!" Cassidy agreed. "Tell her you're a dangerous monster. And mention how good her blood smells." 
   "Wrong time of the month on that one, and I'm getting slapped," I muttered, 
and everyone laughed.

AND:

There was a little smear of sunscreen below her ear. 
   "Wait," I said, reaching to wipe it away. "You had sunscreen on your cheek."
   "Did you get it?" Cassidy asked.
   "No, I smeared it bigger."
   "Whatever," she said. "At least I don't have sunscreen in my hair"
   "It's not sunscreen. You're turning my hair white."

My teasers are from Going Down in Flames, which is a YA novel just published – literally yesterday *grins* – by Entangled Teen! Yuupp XD I was given the e-copy to review for the release day blast......soooo I really need to finish it haha :P Don't worry I'll be done soon ;) It's pretty funnehh too; especially the beginning *cracks up*

“There are different types of dragons.” Her father slapped the hamburgers into the pan. “Our Clans are classified by color: Red, Blue, Black, Green, and Orange. I’m a Red. Reds are the strongest. We breathe fire. Your mom is a Blue. Blues are the fastest fliers. They breathe ice.”
Okay. For now, she’d go with that basic premise. “What does that make me, purple?”
The sizzling of the hamburgers in the hot pan was the only response to her question.

“We never told you about our true nature because we’d been taught crossbreeding between Clans was impossible. When we found out your mother was pregnant, we were shocked.”
“Your father means thrilled.” Her mom swatted at him with a dishtowel.
He laughed. “Right. We were happy, but we had no idea what to expect.”
“When you were born with ten fingers and ten toes, we took that as a good sign.” Her mom shrugged. “From then on, it was a waiting game to see if you would show signs of transforming.”

Unbelievable. “You were waiting for me to set the kitchen on fire?”

Okaayyy XD So......I'm kinda reading two things right now, so I decided to do a double feature haha!! :DD

First up is Bitter Sweet Love a prequel novella to White Hot Kiss :) I'd actually already read BSL, but that was quite a few months ago so I've forgotten most of it, and I really wanna read WHK with optimum up-to-date info, sooo yahhh :P *extravagant sweep of arm*

“What if I find someone else?”

His eyes narrowed. “I doubt that’s going to happen.”

“You never know.”

“Oh, I know.”

I rolled my eyes, but the grin I was fighting peeked through. “Just saying.”

“And I’m just saying that by the end of these seven days or maybe a week from then, or a month, you’ll say yes.” He cupped my cheek and leaned in, pressing his forehead to mine. “And I’ll be waiting. No matter how long it takes.”

AND:

“It’s a pukwudgie.”
The thing’s oversize, floppy ears twitched at the sound of its name.
I looked at Dez slowly. “A what?”
“Earth demon,” he replied, brows knitted. “I’ve never seen one before. Thought they’d been eradicated years ago. Not much is known about them other than they caused a bit of mischief during their heyday. Usually they were only seen up north, near Massachusetts and places like that.”
“It’s kind of cute.” I grinned when his look turned dubious. “What? It’s so ugly it’s cute.”

And da second is Biggest Flirts, which I'm buddy reading with the awesomesauceeee Natasha who friend requested me on GR and told me how she loves da blog! :D *beams* That TOTALLY made my year! <33 Plus she's amazeballs ;D

“It’s hot as an ahffen out here.”
I popped open my beer. “A what?”
“What,” he repeated.
“You said ‘ahffen.’ What’s an ahffen?”
“An ahh . . .” He waited for me to nod at this syllable. “Fen.” Suddenly he lost patience with me. Before I could slide away—actually I would have had nowhere to slide, because Brody and his girlfriend Grace were making out right next to me—Will grabbed my wrist and brought my hand to his lips. “Let me sound it out for you. Ahhhffen.” I felt his breath moving across my fingertips.
“Oh, an oven!” I giggled. “You’re kidding, right? It’s ten o’clock at night.”

AND:

“We had misgivings about a place called the Crab Lab, like there would be formaldehyde involved. If there was, we couldn’t taste it.”
“The Crab Lab may sound unappetizing, but it’s an unwritten rule that names of stores in a tourist town have to alliterate or rhyme. What else are you going to call a seafood joint? Lobster Mobster? Hey, that’s actually pretty good.” I doubled over, cracking up at my own joke. “The slogan would be, ‘We’ll break your legs.’ Get it? Because you crack open lobster legs? No, wait, that’s crab.”
He watched me with a bemused smile, as if waiting for me to pull a prescription bottle out of my purse and announce that I’d missed my meds.”
